Terms of Service

By using Test Dossier, you agree to these terms. They're short and written in plain language.

1. The service

Test Dossier is a tool for capturing manual QA evidence and ingesting CI runs into one shareable report. The free version runs in your browser without a sign-up. The Pro version adds cloud sync, opt-in AI features, shareable links with stakeholder comments, recurring test plans, CI ingest, branded PDF export, and team workspaces.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your login secure. We use magic-link email authentication; if someone has access to your email, they can sign in as you. Use a strong inbox.

3. Your content

You retain all rights to the test data, screenshots, and content you create in Test Dossier. We claim no ownership over your content. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and serve your content as needed to operate Test Dossier (e.g., to display your test cases to you, or to render shared links to people you've explicitly shared with).

4. Acceptable use

Don't use Test Dossier to host or share illegal content, malware, or content that infringes others' rights. Don't try to break the service, abuse the share-link feature for spam, or scrape other users' data. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the service.

Comments on shared reports. When you enable comments on a share you own, you're responsible for moderating what gets posted. We provide the tools to delete individual comments and disable comments per-share. Repeated abusive content posted via your shares (and not moderated) may result in your share-comment feature being disabled at the account level.

API check tool. The API check feature fires HTTP requests on your behalf from our infrastructure (User-Agent TestDossier-APICheck/1.0). Use it only against APIs you own, control, or have explicit written permission to test. Specifically, you must not use the tool to: probe or scan systems you do not have authorisation to test, conduct denial-of-service or load testing against third parties, attempt to bypass authentication on services you don't own, scrape websites against their terms of service, or relay traffic to obscure the origin of an attack. The proxy enforces a per-user rate limit (30 requests / minute, 500 / day) and refuses requests targeting private network ranges or non-HTTP service ports, but those guardrails do not authorise misuse of the rest. If we receive a credible abuse complaint about traffic originating from our proxy, we will investigate and may suspend the responsible account and share account-identifying details with the affected party in line with applicable law.

5. Payments and refunds

Pro is billed monthly or annually via Lemon Squeezy. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee: if Pro doesn't work for you within the first 30 days of your subscription, email support and we'll refund you in full. After 30 days, you can cancel any time and you won't be charged again, but we don't pro-rate partial periods.

6. Cancellation and data

Cancel any time from your billing portal. After cancellation, your data stays accessible for 30 days, then is deleted from our servers. You can export your data as JSON at any time before that.

7. Service availability

We aim for high uptime but offer no SLA on free or Pro tiers. The service is provided "as is." We're not liable for any indirect damages, lost data, or business losses arising from service downtime or bugs. Always keep your own backups via the Export button.

8. Changes to these terms

If we materially change these terms, we'll email you at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after that means you accept the new terms.
